No5 - Pride of Reading Charity of the Year winners 2015

At times life can be difficult and it can feel hard to cope on your own. No5 is Reading’s young persons counselling centre, dedicated to providing free, confidential counselling and emotional support to anyone between the ages of 10-25.

With over 40 years experience, our skilled staff and volunteers have helped thousands of young people deal with their individual problems, by providing a confidential space where you can explore things that are going on for you with the support of a skilled counsellor.

Fundraising - Official charities 2017

Reading Family Aid

We are a small local charity run entirely by volunteers whose aim is to "Put a smile on the face of a child".

We do this by organising several outings during the year: to the Panto, to Camp Mohawk and a Big Summer Outing to a theme park, zoo or the seaside. In all about 250 disadvantaged Reading families benefit from these outings each year.

We also organise the massive "Toys and Teens" Toy Appeal in the Autumn where we provide a large selection of Christmas gifts for about 1500 Reading children who would otherwise receive nothing.

Life is tough for these families. We try to brighten their days

In addition to our two official charities for 2017 we will also be supporting The Alzheimer's Society, Berkshire Womens Aid, RAHAB (Reading voluntary action) and PACT (a local adoption agency).
